Successful candidate will design and make sample patterns and upon acceptance change them into hard tools, clean and service tools, molds and components. Will inspects tools for damage or wear and assist with installation of machining and tool making equipment. Will identify proper cleaning techniques of all tool components and plates and safely operates equipment and machinery in tooling repair area. Plastic profile extruder offers opportunity and challenge to the skilled Process Engineer who has come up through the ranks and enjoys providing technical expertise to the extrusion process and equipment. A majority of your time will be spent developing/optimizing the process and providing technical expertise in troubleshooting extrusion equipment and processing issues with respect to material, tooling, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Your ability to improve efficiencies and reduce scrap costs through lean manufacturing and six sigma procedures is highly desirable. Nationally known injection molding company servicing the medical and defense markets needs 2 skilled Process Technicians with training in scientific molding principles. One of the individuals would work second shift. The other individual work schedule would be off hours on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You will be responsible for supervising employees and overseeing management activities related to lean manufacturing, production, and quality and safety execution on the production floor; total number of direct/indirect reports will be approximately 30-35 with titles of Team Coordinator, Manufacturing Specialist, Sr. Operator Technician, Operator Technician, Operator Packer, Inspector Packer, Materials Lead, Material Coordinator, Material Handler. Responsible for leading the shift and carrying out the daily production plan and manufacturing activities related to Safety, Quality, LEAN / Six Sigma Manufacturing. Responsible for analyzing and taking action based on the results of the Shift Recap Data.
