Leading plastics manufacturer is seeking a degreed individual with the ability to manage several projects at one time while working with and through company representatives (sales, staff, purchasing, etc.). MUST HAVE qualifications are: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Engineering, with 3-7 years experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks 3D preferred) and 3-7 years in manufacturing or development with specific knowledge of the composite and / or extrusion processes. The person in this position must be able to diagnose the root cause of processing problems and variations and then implement steps toward alleviating those problems or variations. Strong communication skills both writing and verbal, in order to convey ideas and concepts to upper management and production employees. Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of CAD and Excel or other spreadsheet software. Must have the ability to organize and interpret large amounts of data (i.e. statistical quality data, process information).  3300:   PROCESS ENGINEER:  IN location near Elkhart. Plastic profile extruder offers opportunity and challenge to the skilled Process Engineer who has come up through the ranks and enjoys providing technical expertise to the extrusion process and equipment. A majority of your time will be spent developing/optimizing the process and providing technical expertise in troubleshooting extrusion equipment and processing issues with respect to material, tooling, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Your ability to improve efficiencies and reduce scrap costs through lean manufacturing and six sigma procedures is highly desirable.  3294:  INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS TECHNICIAN:  MI location, Constantine. Need 2. Nationally known injection molding company servicing the medical and defense markets needs 2 skilled Process Technicians with training in scientific molding principles. One of the individuals would work second shift. The other individual work schedule would be off hours on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast paced environment on an off shift as listed above. You will be responsible for quality, process and operation of assigned presses using scientific injection molding technology to problem solve current production issues. Individuals with RJG or Paulson or other similar training in scientific molding principles that are data driven are highly sought after.
